Steam press operator • Garko, Kano State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steam press operator in Garko, Kano State. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets On the job you will handle: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots 1+ years on the tools preferred.
