You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
