Counter butcher • Orange County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a counter butcher in Orange County, Virginia. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. You will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Six days a week, one day off.
