Vacancy available: we are hiring a head butcher in Greeley County, Nebraska. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Your main tasks: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
