We are recruiting: we are hiring a halal butcher in Texas County, Oklahoma. The job is in a supermarket meat department. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Day-to-day duties: • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife Part-time with flexible hours.
