Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc turning machinist in Kirklees, England. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code On a typical shift you will watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
