Lathe programmer-operator wanted in Coles County

Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Coles County, Illinois. You will work in a job-work machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred The role involves: • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers 4+ years on the tools preferred.
