Vacancy available: core maker (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Pendleton County, Kentucky. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $210 per day, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
