Plant operator (dozer) — Lake County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Lake County, Illinois. The job is at a busy earthworks site. You should have: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence The role involves backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
