Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Lancashire, England. The job is in a meat processing plant. The role involves dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
