Vacancy available: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in Edu, Kwara State. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Understanding of hand and radio signals Your main tasks: • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure Rotating shifts.
