Now hiring: hydraulic crane operator (Maryland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Howard County, Maryland. You will be based on a bridge and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Strong attention to safety and load limits The role involves: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift 3+ years on the tools preferred.
