Hand presser — Ocean County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Ocean County, New Jersey. You will work in a tailoring workshop. Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
