Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Anglesey, Wales. On a typical shift you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
