Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. You will be based at an open-cast mine. The role involves form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction. You should have: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant 4+ years on the tools preferred.
