Immediate opening: we are hiring a halal butcher in Comanche County, Kansas. On the job you will handle: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler 3+ years on the tools preferred.
