Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Aiyedire, Osun State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
