Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Your main tasks: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
