Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Douglas County, Kansas. You will work at a wholesale meat market. Day-to-day duties: • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
