Urgent requirement: gantry crane operator (Scotland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Midlothian, Scotland. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging £2,450 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours.
