Now hiring: gang bricklayer (Edo)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Owan West, Edo. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
