Join our team: we are hiring a counter butcher in Platte County, Nebraska. You will work in a meat processing plant. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • 2+ years experience working as a butcher The role involves trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder.
