Vacancy available: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in Walker County, Alabama. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Requirements: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging On a typical shift you will park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL). At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
