On a typical shift you will keep a daily trip log and record mileage and fuel used; refuel the vehicle and keep the fuel receipts; help elderly and disabled passengers board and alight safely; check the first-aid kit and fire extinguisher on board; reroute around roadworks and diversions while keeping to time; monitor tyre pressure and top it up when needed.
