Wood machinist — Cedar County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a wood machinist in Cedar County, Iowa. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. You will fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board. You should have: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
