Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Peoria County, Illinois. The job is on a high-rise tower crane. Your main tasks: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
