Formwork carpenter • Fulton County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Fulton County, Illinois. You will work on a busy high-rise construction site. The role involves: • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss You should have: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts 4+ years on the tools preferred.
