What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites On a typical shift you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; read lift plans and method statements before starting; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use.
