Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Champhai, Mizoram. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards The role involves: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges PF/ESI and paid leave as per norms.
