Milling machinist • Middlesbrough, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machinist in Middlesbrough, England. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. You will monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. What we are looking for: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
