Furnace operator — Ohimini

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Ohimini, Benue State. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 6+ years on the tools preferred.
