Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Carson City, Nevada. The job is at a busy machine shop. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges You will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter.
