Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Warawa, Kano State. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
