Great opportunity: we are hiring a butcher in Jackson County, Minnesota. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Day to day you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; season and marinate meat on request; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. You should have: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
