Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Jay County, Indiana. On a typical shift you will clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms. Ideal candidate: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine 2+ years on the tools preferred.
