Immediate opening: concrete shuttering carpenter (Kaduna State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Kachia, Kaduna State. Requirements: • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Your main tasks: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line 2+ years on the tools preferred.
