Join our team: we are hiring a halal butcher in Owsley County, Kentucky. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. You will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. Ideal candidate: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
