Trainee butcher wanted in Harney County

Join our team: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Harney County, Oregon. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. On a typical shift you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
