Join our team: we are hiring a butcher in Henry County, Iowa. You will be based at a halal meat counter. On a typical shift you will vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day We offer $220 per day plus benefits.
