Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Ifo, Ogun State. The job is on an industrial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. ₦100,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
