Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Doncaster, England. You will be based on a busy construction site. The role involves carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure. Requirements: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Current medical and eyesight certificate Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
