The role involves: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
