We are recruiting: we are hiring a gardener in Hanover County, Virginia. You will work in a botanical garden. On a typical shift you will rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades. Ideal candidate: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors Part-time with flexible hours.
