Heavy equipment operator • Fayette County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Fayette County, Illinois. You will be based on a busy civils and groundworks site. The role involves: • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels Requirements: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
