Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Barry County, Michigan. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Requirements: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Season and marinate meat on request Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
