Gantry crane operator • Elko County, Nevada

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Elko County, Nevada. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. The role involves watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines. You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
