Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Askira-Uba, Borno State. You will work at a dry cleaner's. Day-to-day duties: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Rotating shifts.
