Retail butcher • Abakaliki, Ebonyi State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Your main tasks: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Performance bonus on top of base pay.
