Machine operator (earthworks) — Charlotte County

Join our team: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Charlotte County, Florida. You will work in an open-cast quarry. Requirements: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Day-to-day duties: • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
