Counter butcher — Bennington County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a counter butcher in Bennington County, Vermont. Your main tasks: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
